The Sacrament of Reconciliation and Penance

"Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion."

The Sacrament of Penance, also called the sacrament of confession, reconciliation, conversion and forgiveness, provides for the forgiveness of sins committed after baptism and results in reconciliation with God and the Church.

Reconciliation Schedule at the Basilica by appointment with one of our priests, Reverend Thomas Curry, O.S.B., and Reverend Daniel O’Keefe, O.S.B. or on Mondays at 7:40 AM, Saturday at 8:00 AM or Saturday at 4:00 PM.
